      <image:title>bio - about me</image:title>
<image:caption>Reader, writer, mother, dancer, dreamer, artist. Trying to keep life juicy. I'm into making art of all kinds and dance as a moving meditation practice. Lifelong daydreamer, always painting vivid pictures in my mind. I unschool three kids ages 11-16. I believe retaining a lifelong joy in learning is paramount for a happy existence. I've lived in a yurt in the woods, but I might perish if you took away my WiFi. Currently living and working in Bellevue, WA.</image:caption>

<image:title>Julie Bazuzi artist statement - about the art</image:title>
<image:caption>I build layers of marks, shapes, and color with ink and paper to create scenes that navigate the spaces between idea and intuition, representation and abstraction. Storytelling and imagination are large influences on my artistic practice. I’m searching for the plot twist and the alchemy of remixing ideas and materials. The human figure, nature, animals, and surreal worlds appear often in my work to tell stories, capture memories and daydreams, or represent loved ones.</image:caption>
